Over twenty years ago, I walked into a bar in South Bend, Indiana where this guy was working as a volunteer. Apparently, the bar owners had done a fundraiser for his crisis center and he was working as a waiter to "pay it forward." Long story short, I lived in Houston, he lived in South Bend. As the night came to an end (for me) I wished him a good life, he said, "what? you walk into my life and make this big impression and now, it's "have a good life?"
Well, it has been a good life, a very good life. The following pictures are from our wedding day, July 17, 2008. We aren't sure whether the State Supreme Court and the voters will take our marriage away from us...but even if they do, they can't take away our love or the last 20 years...or the next 20.
