After Dakota died, we felt a need to adopt another rescue dog or puppy.

The fact we got two rescue devil puppies can be blamed on Leslie and Craig.

Stella & Jake were born on June 22, 2006 and adopted about 8 weeks later on August 19, 2006. 

They were part of a litter of eleven puppies and it seems their mom might  have been had a bit of a rough time while out on the streets of Los Angeles. Why? Well, Jake was the only grey pup, he had two siblings who were black, one sibling who was absolutely massive and the rest were all about the same color as Stella.

Apparently it's possible for there to be more than one father for a litter of pups. Who knew? We speculated that there were probably 5 fathers....given the various colors and sizes and appearances of the puppies.
